Tax Notes: SEC Express Nationwide Submission

UNDER the Corporation Code of the Philippines, corporations are required to submit to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), their audited financial statements and general information sheet stamped received by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

In line with this, the SEC recently launched a new system called the SEC Express Nationwide Submission (SENS) to give another option to filers on how to submit their reportorial requirements with SEC. SENS allows filers to submit documents through a courier services provider of their choice or through a designated SENS couriers in lieu of personal submission at the SEC office and/or satellite offices.

Details of the step-by-step process on how to use SENS are as follows:

1. Log on to www.secexpress.ph/sens

2. Accomplish, print and sign the SENS form, checklist and undertaking. Enclose these documents with the reports to be filed with the SEC in one envelope.

3. Return copy of the document submissions not required: Filers may proceed to the nearest courier office of their choice and pay the courier fee.

4. Return copy of the document submissions required: Filers may proceed to the designated SENS courier and pay the service fees. A list of designated SENS Couriers is available at the SEC website.

Please be guided accordingly.
