Aguilar: Ale goes beyond the rift

COMELEC-registered Partylists are bidding at many a Congress seat with a flash of wit. I mean that they are engaged in a political rift by fighting one another to choke up a win. Even then, however, ALE Partylist goes beyond the rift with its millions of committed government and non-government workers who are all peace-loving and God-fearing people coming from all walks of life.

ALE stands for Association of Laborers and Employeea. Its number in the ballot is 48 and its battle cry goes – “Manggagawa Uunlad Ka - hindi hadlang ang kahirapan sa pagsusumikap na makamit ang kaginhawaan sa buhay, basta’t may sinseridad sa ginagawa at may gabay ng Poong Maykapal, even as In God we trust.”

ALE is on its way back to the House of Representatives with former Congresswoman Lina Mendoza Cabrera Bagasina of Sasmuan, Pampanga as the first nominee, former Pampanga Provincial Board Member Ric Yabut as the second nominee, and Jasmin “Alice” Yumul of Tarlac City as the third nominee.

Congresswoman Bagasina a.k.a. Bea Alonzo of Pampanga is credited with 23 House Bills and 2 Resolutions for her legislative achievements during the 15th Congress. Some of these are HB04283 – An Act defining and penalizing the practice of affiliation fees of public or private hospitals from registered nurse in exchange for job experience.

HB04517 - An act providing for the construction of a fish port with ice plant/storage facility in the municipality of Sasmuan, Pampanga.

HB04751 – An act establishing homes for the elderly in every province. .

HB04753 – Kasambahay Bill.

HB04750 – An act promoting the use of urban farming in the country’s metropolitan areas.

HB05263 – An act increasing the penalty for the RA No. 6539 otherwise known as the Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972.

HB05505 – An act establishing gyms in every province of the country.

HB05506 – An act mandating all business & Gov’t establishment to provide free parking for all customers, shoppers, visitors, clients and providing penalties for violations thereof.

HB06060 – An act exempting the indigent patients confined in Gov’t.

Hospitals from payment of any unpaid outstanding obligations and the automatic release of corpse to immediate family members.

HR01023 – A resolution urging the DFA to assist OFW get refund of local social services paid abroad and establishing a Satellite/Consular office in other countries.

Legal and Financial Assistance. *Livelihood Programs in Soap and Cellphone Repair Making, and Salt & Dress Making, Candle Making, Welding Shop and others.

It also include Philhealth & Personal Accident Insurance. Medical Hospitalization and Financial Assistance to Indigent Patients at Diosdado Macapagal Hospital, Jose B. Lingad (JBL) Memorial Hospital, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, PGH, PCMC, Nat’l Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI), Lung Center of the Philippines. *Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES). And Medical/Dental with Operation Tuli.
