DANNY Usman emerged champion in the Datba weekly singles tournament held Tuesday evening at the NCCC Mall B3 Center lanes.
Usman rolled a total of 812 pins after four games to beat eight other players in the event organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) as qualifying for the monthly finals.
Tans Bernas placed second, hitting 771 pinfalls while Sonny Dimaano finished third and Ronald Martin came fourth. Dimaano garnered 251 pinfalls while Martin scored 750.
Trailing behind were Rene Dalayon and Crystal Chavez who shared the fifth spot with identical 746, Paquito Santos (740) sixth, Raymond Gamolo (679) seventh and Gerard Gamolo (587) eighth.
Usman and Bernas received cash prizes.
