MALAYSIAN company Edmark International plans to have 10,000 Cebuanos distribute its health and wellness products locally.

Edmark International chairman Sam Low was in Cebu last week to meet with potential distributors from Cebu and launched his book, “4 Pillars of Success”.

“We have 300,000 distributors in the Philippines, around 100,000 of them are active. In Cebu, we’re planning to have 10,000 distributors,” Low said.

Edmark International has been in the network marketing business for 17 years in the country. Its products, which the company manufactures in its plant in Sengalor, Malaysia, range from weight management supplements, cooking products, and novelty household products.

Wider reach

Since its incorporation in Malaysia in 1989, Low said Edmark has expanded its business to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

“Globally, there is a strong market for health and wellness products. People are going back to natural and organic,” Low said. He claims that Edmark health products are all natural and organic.

Last Saturday, the company organized the Edmark Expo at the Castle Peak Hotel where it exhibited the company milestones and product lines.

Low first came to Cebu in the 1980s to sell the Super Slicer, a kitchen tool that he single-handedly invented and patented. He began to demonstrate the Super Slicer in major shopping malls which turned out to be a success. The businessman acquired a property in Metro Manila and began expanding their range of products.

His newly-launched book focuses on gratitude, abundance, love and compassion for one another.
