Tanjuatco supports advocacy for Clark airport development

CLARK FREEPORT --- Clark International Airport Corporation (Ciac) President Emigdio Tanjuatco III has expressed support to the advocacies of the newly-formed Advocacy for Dual Airport Priority (Adapt) which is urging the national government to fully

develop and utilize Clark International Airport (CRK).

“It’s a very commendable undertaking. The stakeholders of the airport the environs, the local government units, travel agents, hotels, restaurants, business sector, to converge into one venue and purpose to actually engage the national government in

this endeavor,” Tanjuatco said.

Tanjuatco also said that the advocacy will benefit Clark International Airport as well as the province of Pampanga, Central Luzon and the rest of the country.

“And I think it is important that whoever is given that mandate come May 9, 2016 will take a look at the group (Adapt) and look at the seriousness of the situation,”

Tanjuatco also told that the “some of the six point agenda of Adapt had already been adopted by CIAC including the incentives to airlines and locators.

Aside from this, CIAC also coordinates with the Pampanga Provincial Government for the set up of a One Stop Shop for Overseas Filipino Workers, according to him.

The airport official also cited the continuing dialogue to certain airline companies to transfer their turbo prop operations in Clark.

“Those are currently being done by the airport, but this push being done by Adapt is definitely a shot in the arm for the airport, and we are very thankful and grateful for this endeavor of the group,” Tanjuatco said.
