Town honors former cop chief

SANTO TOMAS -- This town's local officials honored its former chief of police Chief Inspector John Clark with a town resolution recognizing his performance as the town's top officer and his initiatives during his almost two year stint here.

Clark was presented with a copy of municipal council Resolution 105 during the after the morning flag raising ceremonies led by Mayor Joselito Naguit. The resolution was approved and supported by all town officials.

The resolution said that Clark was recognized for his "exemplified performance, immeasurable dedication and invaluable support rendered to the town." The resolution also said that Clark was able to make people more aware of police initiatives and make them partners in peace and order programs.

Clark is currently the Chief for Special Promotion Section, Morale Welfare Division of Directorate for Personnel Records and Management in Camp Crame. Clark also served as Macabebe police chief when and together with his personnel, were commended by then PPPO officer-in-charge Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde for the successful arrest of the town’s second most wanted suspect.

During his stint as police chief, Clark was repeatedly recognized by the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPPO) for his successful anti-drugs campaign.

Clark said that the recognition from Sto. Tomas town only inspires him to perform better in his new post. Clark added that they are also grateful for the support of Naguit to the local police force in Sto. Tomas during his time.
