Mandani Bay opens Show Gallery

MANDANI Bay, a landmark joint development of Hongkong Land and Taft Properties, opened Friday, April 29, its Show Gallery, the first structure to rise in a 20-hectare property in Mandaue City.

The 1,500-square-meter gallery is "a collaboration of prestigious international architects, engineers, and designers; altogether making sure that every detail meets the highest global standards," said Mandani in a press release.

"During our planning stage, we harnessed personal experiences and put in a lot of things that we dreamed of here...This is the start of that...Mandani Bay is a personal dream of everybody," said Taft Properties Chief Operating Officer Christopher Narciso.

Among the features of the Show Gallery are the following:

  • Full-length curtain walls

  • Wide roof eaves that extend prominently and effectively shade the interior from direct sunlight

  • Fins that clad the external walls

  • Open-air courtyard with a pond and foliage

  • Surrounded by water

  • Inverted roof form with a timber-cladded ceiling

"This marriage of nature and architecture creates a vibrant hub that kindles the four core passions of the Mandani Bay lifestyle: culture, creativity, adventure, and water," said Mandani.

"Expect that all these passions will be incorporated in our development," said Mandani Bay project coordinator Gilbert Ang.

Also inside the Show Gallery is a three-dimensional vicinity site map, a scale model of the topography surrounding the project.

"This map, a work of art in itself, underlines the strategic position of Mandani Bay relative to Cebu’s significant places of interest," Mandani's press release stated.

The Mandani Bay Show Gallery is located at Mandani Bay, corner Zuellig Avenue, Mandaue City, Cebu. For inquiries, contact (032) 262-5888. (LMY/With PR/Sunnex)
