P2-million aid distributed to Bankerohan fire victims

THE Davao City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) has distributed Wednesday a total of P2,000,915 financial aid to Bankerohan fire victims.

CSSDO Assistant Head Liwayway Caligdong, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao Friday, said that the amount was distributed to 478 affected families.

"The huge chunk of the amount was given to 203 households," Caligdong said.

As for the status of the shelter of fire victims, Caligdong said some are still at the evacuation center while others have already moved out.

"Ang uban naa sa lamayan, ang uban naa sa duha ka barangay daycare center (Some are in the place where we hold vigils, the others are in our two day care centers)," she said.

Caligdong added that the distribution of the financial aid is the last form of assistance that the city will give to fire victims.

The fire affected Puroks 3, 4, and 5 of Barangay 5A.
