A SUSPECTED drug pusher and his companion were arrested in a drug bust conducted by personnel of City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG) at Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay 19, Bacolod City Thursday evening.
Police identified the suspects as Roldan Villanueva, 38, and his companion Josephine Tayongtong, 29, of Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Chief Inspector Jerick Filosofo, head of CAIDSOTG, said Villanueva sold a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu to a police-poseur buyer for P200.
Police recovered from Villanueva's possession one small and two elongated plastic sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P200 marked money.
Filosofo said Tayongtong was also inside the room during the operation.
He was found possessing one elongated plastic sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are detained at Police Station 4 and are facing charges.
In Victorias City, a man was arrested at Sikatuna Street in Lopez Subdivision, Barangay 3 after he yielded illegal drugs to police operatives Thursday.
Police identified the suspect as Joemarie Puasan, 42, of Gomburza Street in Barangay 6, of the said city.
Police seized from Puasan six sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), the P300 marked money, cellphone, and cash proceeds amounting to P620.
In another development, a resident of Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, Bacolod City was arrested by police operatives for illegal possession of firearms Thursday afternoon.
Arrested was Justine Murillo, 19.
Senior Inspector Edison Garcia, chief of Police Station 2, said they were informed by Barangay 3 chieftain Ronquillo Blanza that the suspect was armed.
Police recovered from Murillo’s possession an improvised homemade pistol with two live ammunition of .38 caliber.
