2 Koreans lose P246T jewelry, cash to burglar

AT least P246,000 worth of jewelry and cash were stolen from two Korean nationals in an apartment in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City at 6:30 p.m. last Wednesday.

Local police said Kim Sojin, who is currently residing in Apartment A, 4th St., Patville Subdivision, Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City, and Huang Junghee, Kim’s tourist friend reported that an unidentified person broke the apartment’s kitchen doorknob and entered Kim’s room.

P02 Renaldo Lapaping said the burglar destroyed the safety box, containing the jewelry, took it, then went inside Huang’s room to steal the money.


The victims lost a gold bracelet worth $2,000 or P94,520, a gold necklace worth $1,000 or P47,260 two white gold wedding rings worth $1,000 or P47,260, three wrist watches worth $1,000 or P47,260, and P10,000 cash.

The items stolen amounted to P246,300, Lapaping said.
