Robredo shrugs off social media criticisms

CAMARINES Sur Representative Leni Robredo, who is still locked in a neck and neck battle with Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the vice presidential race, shrugged off Thursday the mean posts against her on social media.

In a press conference on Thursday, Robredo said social media critics especially those who are supporting her fierce rival, Marcos, had gone below the belt but she has no plans of arguing with them.

One of her critics was the 16-year-old niece of Marcos, but the teenager had deleted her post and apologized for her hurtful words.

Robredo, who leads Marcos by over 200,000 votes, said she has bigger responsibilities rather than arguing with her critics.

Meanwhile, the Camarines Sur lawmaker took a swipe at Marcos' camp over allegations of electoral fraud.

Robredo explained that just like the other candidates, they do not have any access over the control of transparency server.

She said that she is also waiting for the explanation of the poll body about the reported irregularities in the transmission of votes.

Robredo said she finds it unfair to be a recipient of a cheating allegation given that her accuser has no solid evidence.

She said Marcos camp is already conditioning the mind of the public through accusations that he was cheated in the recent polls. (Sunnex)
