MALACANANG said Saturday there was no basis to call for the prosecution of outgoing President Benigno Aquino III.
Communication Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. was reacting on the call of militant fisherfolk group for presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte to prosecute suspected big time criminals, including Aquino.
He said that Aquino followed the Constitution in performing his job as the Chief Executive.
The three senators are facing plunder charges for allegedly pocketing multi-million pesos from their pork barrel. (SDR/Sunnex)
