CCCI holds groundbreaking of NBI waiting shed project

THE Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), through its adopt-a-station committee, held a groundbreaking ceremony to officially kick off the construction of the National Bureau of Investigation’s (NBI) clearance office roof extension at the NBI Central Visayas Regional Compound last May 4.

This project is aimed at providing a decent waiting shed to protect the NBI clients seeking clearances from rain and intense sunlight. It will also provide a conducive working atmosphere to NBI personnel.

This initiative is part of the chamber’s advocacy to address infrastructure needs of law enforcement agencies in Cebu for them to be able to execute their duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

The contributions of the donors have been instrumental in realizing the initial phase of the project.

The donors are Dr. Pericles Dakay of Dakay Construction & Development Corp., Michael Basubas of Diamond Cane International, Napoleon Pe Jr. of Aboitiz Construction Group (Metaphil), Cecil Aligno of Philmetal Products, Kristy King Luy of Asia Glass Palace, Stanley Ong of Pacific Paint (Boysen) Philipines, Archt. Ramon Vios Jr. of Conarch Construction, Jay Yuvallos of Interior Basic Export Corp, CCCI Trustee and Archt. Benjamin Avila and CCCI past presidents Consul Samuel Chioson and Carlos Co.

The project is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2016.
