Milo 'Best' gears up for second phase

FOLLOWING its successful staging recently, the Milo Basketball and Efficiency & Scientific Training Center (Best) returns for another batch of sports clinic starting June 6.

Trademarked as Asia’s first school of basketball, Milo Best Center re-open its registration for the second batch of junior cagers from the Summer Capital and the neighboring province of Benguet carry on their journey into basketball stardom.

Milo Best Center-Baguio sports coordinator Russel Go said the enrolment for the second batch scheduled until June 11, are already accepting new batch of enrollees.

Go said they are expecting a larger number of participants as the three-decade-old sports program founded by former national coach Nicanor “Nick” Jorge continue to inspire aspiring basketball players aged 15 years old and below all over the country.

The Milo Best Center, according to Go carries on with its goal of training young basketeers using a well proven effective scientific technique.

Go added the ladderized program of Milo is set bring out the best from its young learners providing the basic standards for children who are already into and even those who wants to learn the sport of basketball.

“Here at Milo Best Center, we formulate a proven scientific way of teaching children aside from the simple knowledge of dribbling, shooting and others,” Go quipped. “Training with Milo will definitely enhance the skills of the learner more differently than the usual way of learning basketball.”

Milo Best Center courses include Introduction to basketball (5-8 years old) followed by the four learning levels of training for children above nine years old including basics in dribbling (level 1), defense (level 2), shooting or offense (level 3), and advance basketball (level 4).

Go added the Milo basketball clinic will be concluding its annual clinic with a basketball tournament among its enrollees later in September.

Enrolment are still ongoing at SM City Baguio and at the Berkley School in Navy Base.
