ANOTHER drug suspect was killed after resisting arrest during a drug bust Sunday.
Vincent B. Delgado, 25, was gunned down when he fired back at authorities.
Two other supects named Cesar Ian Cumawas Lara, 26, and Gever Jusayan Ewayan, 41, were also caught.
Police Officer 3 (PO3) Adnan Ahadain said that after the poseur buyer PO2 Abreo bought one sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," worth P500 from the suspect, he declared himself as a police officer and prompted Delgado to draw his firearm and point it towards the operating team.
Ahadain said that the operating team was forced to defend themselves and caused them to shoot Delgado resulting to his death.
In the initial investigation conducted by Ahadain, the other two suspects along with Delgado were caught in the act having "shabu" pot session inside the slain suspect's house.
The operating team confiscated seven pieces of elongated heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be "shabu," two pieces of opened elongated transparent plastics with traces of "shabu," two pieces rolled paper containing marijuana, two disposable lighters with aluminum foil needle, and other personal belongings owned by the two arrested suspects.
Ahadain said that the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) also responded and recovered another drug apparatus including the P500 drug bust money, and one unit homemade caliber pistol loaded with one live bullet.
The evidences retrieved from the killed suspect's body were in the custody of Soco while the evidences from the possession of Lara and Ewayan were held at Sta. Ana Police Office.
Delgado's body was brought to Angel Funeral Homes.
