TWO more drug peddlers were apprehended on Monday evening in an anti-illegal operation at Matina Aplaya, Davao City.
Chief Superintendent Jed Clamor, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Davao, arrested two drug peddlers for violating the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
The suspects were identified as Jic Jarmin alias "Tokloy", 38, a resident of Purok Pagasa, Matina Aplaya, Davao City and Jujie Obedencio, 34, a resident of Purok 4-B, Barangay 23-C Isla Verde Boulevard.
Reports from the police show that the operating team seized from the possession of Tokloy was three pieces of medium-sized transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one piece small elongated plastic sachet, and other drug paraphernalia. The team also recovered from Obedencio an improvised glass tooter with suspected residue of shabu and a lighter.
PDEA estimated the street value of confiscated illegal drugs could sum up to P250,000.
The suspects were brought to Matina Police Station for further investigations and were then submitted to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office along with the seized items.
