Political detainees’ release only if peace talks resume

PRESUMPTIVE president Rodrigo Duterte said that he will allow the release of some political detainees from different armed groups for as long as the release will be done in good faith, “Wala akong agenda,” Duterte bared in a press conference held at Legaspi Suites Monday evening.

The release will be done even before the negotiation is sealed. Duterte in his previous interview said that he wanted to build confidence among different armed groups. He also said that he is eying to reserve founder of Communist Party of the Philippines Joma Sison a cabinet post, but he considering the other groups who will such as Moro National Liberation Front and the Moro International Liberation Front must not be also left behind.

“To have peace all over the land, we have to work together. We should avoid injustice,” Duterte said. (KVC)
