Notorious rob suspect in Bacolod City busted

A NOTORIOUS robbery suspect was arrested by personnel of Police Station 6 at Purok Tapulanga, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City, on Monday.

Arrested was Gremar Lerion, 21, of San Carlos City.

Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 6, said Tuesday that Lerion ransacked the house of Nory Niel Sibogga, 27, around 10:30 a.m.

The suspect destroyed the door’s padlock, and took two cellular phones and P5,000 in cash.

Lerion attempted to escape, but he was mobbed by Sibogga and his brother Ronel along with their neighbors.

Police recovered from Lerion’s possession Sibogga’s cellular phones and money.

Sedel said Lerion has also been involved in robbery incidents in the area of Police Station 1.

On 2013, Lerion was convicted for robbery. He was released from a Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility last year.

A complaint for robbery was filed by police yesterday before the City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspect, who is detained at station. (MAP)
