Investment plan designed for employees launched

IN ITS bid of providing the Filipino workforce more options to save and invest, the Sun Life Asset Management Company, Inc. (SLAMCI) now brings an affordable, convenient and hassle-free way to achieve financial goals and freedom for a brighter future, the SUN R.I.S.E. or Regular Investment Simplified for Employees.

SUN R.I.S.E., the first of its kind in the Philippines to enable employees have that opportunity to invest regularly and enjoy the advantages of the Sun Life Prosperity mutual funds for as little as P300 per month.

“With this simple and affordable approach to investing, SLAMCI hopes to motivate more Filipinos to invest and work toward a brighter future,” JJ Book, SLAMCI channel manager and SUN R.I.S.E head said.

He explained that for one to invest with SUN R.I.S.E., “all employees have to do is sign up for the program and their monthly investments will be automatically processed through salary deduction by their company.”

The newest investment program of SLAMCI can serve corporations, cooperatives, and associations.

At present, SLAMCI through SUN R.I.S.E has already tapped various industries including manufacturing, Business process outsourcing (BPO) and construction as well as schools and hotels.

He added that Human Resource (HR) practitioners have been very appreciative of the program as it allows companies to enhance their existing suite of employee benefits at no additional cost. As an added bonus, companies that enroll in SUN R.I.S.E. will be provided with free financial literacy sessions intended to address the prevailing financial concerns of employees.

“We really came up with a program that is convenient, affordable, and effective in growing the hard-earned money of Filipino employees. We believe our labor force has the capacity to invest and grow their money. It’s the discipline to save and invest regularly that’s missing,” Book said.

“With SUN R.I.S.E., employees can just focus on their work while the program enables them to regularly invest in higher-yielding instruments that will help them achieve their financial goals,” he added.
