The Season of Fun

SPANISH brand (Sfera) unveiled to Cebuanos its newest spring/summer 2016 collection for women last month.

A fashion chain originating from Madrid that started in the year 2000, the brand exudes Spanish style rendered in its collections and offers clothing for men, women and children. It has more than a hundred retail outlets in different countries including the Philippines.

At the fashion brand’s boutique located on the upper ground floor of SM Seaside City Cebu, guests were treated to an exclusive fashion presentation where they got to see the latest collection for women in ensembles evoking clean, fresh looks with a fusion of classic blended with highlights of newness.

(Sfera) for this season carries three trends for its women’s spring/summer collection, and three for its casual line’s spring/summer collection as well.

For the women’s collection, there’s the minimalism trend in somber black, white and shades of grey with remnants of feminine details in the garments. Hints of pumpkin orange in monochromatic styles, basic tops with pinstripes as well as tiny flowers paired with a black palette for a canvas are such types of clothing.

Next is the navy blue trend which is seen in the collection’s key items like the ribbed, flared pants reviving the ‘70s era, double-breasted coats and wide lapels, and knitted fabrics. Pair it with red and white colors and, this gives it a nautical-like vibe for the summer.

There’s also the boho rocker trend with details like geometric prints, small geo motifs, silver threads and Lurex for blouses and dresses complemented with burgundian leather and suede.

Meanwhile, the casual line offers simplistic tones married with pastel hues in its romantic theme, a fresh and summer trend.

The nautical theme is also apparent in the casual line with items like culottes, knitted dresses and skirts with red, white and blue for color schemes.

Last, is the African-inspired trend that comes in colors of red and terracotta from the desert and the markets of Marrakech which are combined in basic pieces in shades of black, khaki and off-white as seen in svelte silhouettes with embroidery and embellishments.
