Baguio police in pursuit of killer maid

AUTHORITIES are now on a manhunt for the lone suspect in the killing of a 15-year-old girl who was murdered inside their house on Tuesday, May 24.

Baguio City station 2 police Chief Inspector Jethro Moog is in Burgos, La Union in hot pursuit operation for suspect Marites Judan.

The suspect, who hails from Burgos, La Union, was recently employed by the family as their household help.

Moog said coordination with La Union police revealed Judan has a standing warrant of arrest in a San Fernando court for the crime of adultery filed by her husband.

Records from the Baguio Police Station 6 also reveal Judan was involved in a robbery this year and the suspect has been doing the same modus in the past.

The murder of the 15-year-old has gone viral over social media enraging the city.

Netizens are abuzz with concern and sympathy to the family of the 15-year old girl from Pinsao Proper, who was found lifeless inside their home.

Police are investigating the homicide which transpired between 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. allegedly committed by the newly hired household help.

The lifeless body of the 15-year old was found by relatives Roger and Arnold, inside the bathroom, lying in a pool of blood with stab wounds on her neck.

Roger and Arnold immediately brought her to the Baguio General Health and Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.

Police from Station 2, and Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered a knife near the pool of blood inside the bathroom, which is believed to be the murder weapon.

Roger and Arnold recounted events leading to the discovery of the lifeless body inside the bathroom. The duo arrived home from delivering water to their customers when they were met by Judan at the parking area.

Based on their accounts, Judan was holding a blue bag and hurriedly asked them to bring her to the market for her to be able to get her salary from the victim’s mother.

Both men allowed Judan to ride inside their L300 van in the direction of the market but when they were nearing Naguillian Road, Judan suddenly requested to go down and proceed to the market by herself, to which both conceded.

The two then went home, only to find the lifeless body.

Police reported the victim’s cellular phone was missing prompting investigators to look at possible motives of robbery.

Police have now coordinated with personnel of Burgos, La Union for the possible arrest of Judan.

Photos of Judan have been shared multiple times in social media in the hope it will help lead to her arrest.
