COMEDIAN Vice Ganda is scheduled to perform at the grand victory party of incoming president Rodrigo Duterte at Davao City's Crocodile Park on Saturday.
The "It's Showtime" host described the event as a "celebration of hope" as more than five thousand supporters of Duterte will celebrate his presidential win.
If Vice is all set for the weekend's party, Filipino music icon Freddie Aguilar said he couldn't make it to the "DU31: One Love, One Nation Thanksgiving Party."
The singer said he has a prior commitment in Cagayan.
The "Anak" hitmaker is a personal favorite of Duterte.
During Thursday evening's press conference, the incoming president was all praises for Aguilar's music and love of country.
"That guy is a nationalist. His love of country shows in the way he uses his songs, which are always about corruption and what ails this country, the social injustices," Duterte said.
Organizers of the event said the 12-hour event will feature close to 500 performers. (Sunnex)
