Drugstore loses P250,000

A PHARMACY lost P250,000 worth of earnings to an unidentified burglar in Barangay Sto. Niño Friday evening.

An initial investigation by the Theft and Robbery Section of the Cebu City Police Office said that an unidentified person wearing a motorcycle helmet broke the back gate of the Far Eastern pharmacy using a crowbar at 9:15 p.m.

The burglar then went inside the premises of the pharmacy and broke the window grill of the establishment and carted away earnings worth P250,000.

Keysek Enterprises, which shared the same area with the pharmacy, also lost P6,000 cash in the burglary.

The burglary was caught by the CCTV camera of the pharmacy and the team from the Crime Scene Investigation managed to extract fingerprints to identify the suspect.

Meanwhile, a Japanese national became a victim of snatching when his Iphone 6S was stolen by two women in General Maxilom Avenue, Barangay Kamputhaw.

Police identified the suspects as Jhea Jane Fernandez, 19 and Levy Tañag, 18.

Yusuke Uejima, 23, was walking near the National Bookstore when the two approached him and snatched his phone.

PO1 Ariel Nuñeza of the beat patrol of the Fuente Police Station arrested the two women after he was approached by Uejima for help.

The two women were detained at Police Station 2.
