AFTER talent manager Annabelle Rama's Twitter rant, it's now action star Robin Padilla who came to incoming president Rodrigo Duterte's defense.
Padilla, a staunch supporter of Duterte, said in an Instagram post that the Philippines is blessed to have a leader that can be a catalyst for change.
"Mapalad tayo at nagkaroon tayo lahat ng Ama sa anyo ni Digong na nagsisilbing hudyat para magtagumpay."
He then gave advice to his followers on how to take Duterte's words.
"Ang bawat salita na lumalabas sa bibig ni Mayor Duterte/El Cid ay tanggapin nating lahat na parang buhay nating mga tao na hindi lahat ng naranasan sa buhay ay naging pabor sa atin ngunit nagsilbing aral ito para tayo'y maging matibay at magsumikap."
As for the issue of catcalling, Padilla shared a Facebook post that seems to reiterate his support for Duterte.
To recall, Duterte was in hot water when instead of answering GMA-7 news reporter Mariz Umali's question during a press conference in Davao City about his Cabinet secretaries, he resorted to wolf-whistling at the female reporter. (Sunnex)
