11 take part in Commissaire training

ELEVEN aspirants took the National Commissaire Course at the Big Hotel in Mandaue City last Sunday.

The National Commissaire Course was conducted by UCI International Commissaire Max Mager of Singapore. The seminar was done to accredit the participants for them to officiate in the Asian Invitational MTB and National Championships set on June 10 to 12 at the Danasan Eco Adventure Park in Danao City.

“Three from Manila; two each from Pangasinan and Iloilo; one each from Thailand, Tarlac, Bacolod and Tagaytay took the National Commissaire Course,” said Oscar “Boying” Rodriguez Jr., the MTB Commission head.

The event in Danao this weekend—Asian Invitational MTB and National Championships—will have the downhill and cross country categories.

The downhill competition will also serve as the first leg of the Commencal Philippine National Downhill Series. The second leg will be in Iligan and third leg in Ilocos.

The categories in the downhill competition are men’s elite, men’s masters and age group division. The cross country will have the men’s elite, women’s elite, men’s junior, men’s open, men’s master and 40 and above.
