Call center firm joins Brigada Eskwela

THIRTY-ONE employees of Executive Boutique Ph Inc. (EB) took their time out to volunteer for this year’s Brigada Eskwela, an annual initiative that brings together teachers, students, parents and community members to help public schools prepare for the onset of the new school year.

The Cebu-based call center, with an established operation in IT Park since 2008, is a first-time participant of the Department of Education’s national schools maintenance program. EB’s pioneer beneficiary was the Camp Lapulapu Elementary School, with a student population of 2,725 for elementary.

The employee-volunteers cleaned the school grounds and painted classrooms alongside teachers and volunteers from other organizations.

“Camp Lapulapu is so blessed that we have Executive Boutique as our stakeholder. Their act of volunterism and their sharing of blessings will surely make a difference in the lives of our public school children” said Maria Estela L. Omang, Brigada Eskwela coordinator.

EB alloted nearly P40,000 for the painting and cleaning of three of the school’s classrooms.

Elsie Avergonzado, human resource manager, said EB chose to prioritize Barangay Apas community’s very public school.

“The support of our local community is a big part of our success and we know that to sustain our growth, we need to do our part in helping nurture the pool of young talents that will eventually join the local workforce,” she said.

Education is one of the core advocacies of EB’s corporate social responsibility.

“Most of our CSR initiatives lined up for the year are geared towards supporting our adopted school. We hope to help address its primary needs in the areas of infrastructure, facilities, and supplies,” said Avergonzado.

Executive Boutique is located at 12th floor Skyrise 2, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City.
