3 men in hacking incident charged

THREE men are facing charges before the City Prosecutors Office after they were allegedly involved in a hacking incident that killed a man and

hurt another in Las Arinas, Mandug, Buhangin in Davao City on Saturday.

Murder and frustrated homicide charges were filed against Conrado Cornighod Talotalo, 59, and son Jenald Meravilles Talotalo, 18, both of the same place.

A separate complaint was also filed against Dexter Galvez Dinzon, 27, also a resident in the area.

An investigation conducted by the Buhangin police revealed that the slain victim identified as Radne Dinzon and his brother Dexter went to the store owned by the accused to buy some bottles of beer and immediately left.

Moments later, the respondents' house was stoned, prompting them to check who did it. They found out that it was the victim who allegedly stoned their house.

The incident led to a heated confrontation between them and that was when the respondents stabbed Radnes, who succumbed to multiple stab wounds.

The victim’s brother came to his rescue and was also wounded in the process.

Responding policemen were about to arrest the suspects when the brother of the victim allegedly continued to attack them with a bolo which also resulted to his arrest.

The confiscated bladed weapons were then endorsed by the police to the PNP Crime laboratory for examination.

Radne was brought to the Southern Philippines Medical Center for treatment, but was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending doctor.

Prosecutor Panfilo Lovitos is currently resolving the charges filed against the respondents. (RCP)
