THE police authorities have arrested 11 people, including five suspected drug pushers, in two separate anti-drug operations in Isabela City, the capital of Basilan province.
Superintendent Jerome Afuyog, Isabela City police chief, identified the five arrested suspected drug pushers as the following: Jerry Hassan, Amalyaser Ismael, Wassaif Hassan, Moin Karama, and Abbang Eraham.
Afuyog identified the other arrested suspects as follows: Radzan Sali, Baser Abtahi, Ashraf Anong, Erwin Mohammad, Paolo Pingay, and Benjamin Alfad. They were caught in a pot session.
Afuyog said Hassan and three of his cohorts, Ismael, Hassan, and Karama, were arrested in a drug bust operation around 12:40 a.m., Wednesday, in the village of Riverside, Isabela City.
Confiscated from the possession of Hassan were P500 “marked money,” 12 sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," and a calibre .9-mm pistol with 10 live ammunition, according to Afuyog.
Confiscated from the possession of Hassan’s cohorts were 22 sachets of "shabu" and two motorcycles.
According to Afuyog, Eraham was arrested in a separate drug bust operation around 11:40 p.m., Tuesday, in the village of Port Area, Isabela City.
Eraham was collared after he handed over a sachet of "shabu" to an undercover policeman in exchange for P200.
The arrested six users of prohibited drugs were caught having pot session at the residence of Eraham.
The arresting team have confiscated 17 sachets of "shabu," “marked money,” and other prohibited drug paraphernalia.
