DABAWENYOS have expressed satisfaction with the way outgoing Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte had ruled the city during his term, giving him a 99 percent satisfaction rating, based on the City Wide Social Survey (CWSS) Series 5 conducted by the Ateneo de Davao University last May 25-30.
The survey was done through face to face interviews with 630 respondents using plus-minus four margin of error and 95 percent level of significance.
In the same survey, Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte got 91 percent satisfaction rating, the 17th Davao City Council with 90 percent while barangays garnered 87 percent.
Respondents also highly rated the City Government's initiatives in addressing the concerns of the ordinary people.
Survey showed 90 percent agreed to the local government’s effectiveness, 5 percent disagreed while 5 percent had no opinion about the matter.
Oresident-elect Duterte's satisfaction rating is in consonance with the results of the elections, as 90 percent voted for him as president, with leadership, track record and platforms as basis for their choice.
The research also indicated that majority 69 percent of Dabawenyos made their decision who to vote when the President-elect filed his certificate of candidacy.
The 98.9 percent of the respondents also expressed that they are willing to support the programs of the president elect.
Majority of the female respondents said that they will support the president through participating the initiatives to be presented by the President, non-violation of ordinances and proper payment of taxes.
Majority of male Dabawenyos, on the other hand, expressed that they will support the president-elect through non-involvement in criminal activities.
According to the survey Dabawenyos will also be disappointed in case the president elect cannot solve the problem of corruption, implementation of peace and order and solution on the employment of people.
Dabawenyos are also hopeful that the President Duterte will perform well in his administration.
