Iloilo police hunts killer in lodge slay

THE Iloilo City Police Office is hunting down the killer in the murder of a 15-year-old girl at the Moonlight Lodge in Arevalo district on June 13.

The killer ages between 26-28 years old and is believed to be an acquaintance of the taxi driver already showed up on Thursday.

The driver admitted to bring the girl and the suspect at the lodge for a short time sex.

The police is preparing charges against the killer and the driver suspected to be a pimp. The management of Moonlight Lodge is also facing charges for violating the city Regulation Ordinance 2016-447 in allowing the entry of a minor in the establishment.

Result of the autopsy conducted on the minor showed that she was strangled with a telephone cord and was beaten before she was killed. She sustained bruises and hematoma.

Chief Inspector Kit Flora of the Arevalo Police Station said the suspect is not an Ilonggo and have several pending cases of theft and robbery.
