Intimate and elegant

TWO and a half years ago, Carmie Sajo-Locsin and Philip Moran met through a blind date. That meeting led to an elegant and intimate wedding at the Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park and a reception followed at the Polo Club.

What is most interesting is that Philip proposed to Carmie, with the help of her family, in front of them when they were vacationing in Palawan.

Both being staunched devotees of St. Joseph, what would be more fitting than having the marriage solemnized during his feast day.

To the couple, it was a rather small wedding attended by family and close friends and classmates who were donned in classy black with the entourage in hues of grey.

Carmie is a make-up artist so who could best make herself pretty than she herself while her friends did her hair. The excellent gown of the bride, her ladies in waiting plus the bearers were made by Kristel Yulo. Her sister Ella Locsin Abaya, a jeweler, designed their rings and invitations were made by Justin Sison. Alex Leyson coordinated the wedding ceremony while Hyatt Laurel was tasked on the warm reception.

Philip, who is in the restaurant business, manages their family’s Amici and Cara Mia. They had gelato for the cocktails and a gelato cake during the reception exquisitely prepared by Cara Mia.

There were heartwarming greetings and toasts from Philip’s brothers and Carmie’s dad Ramon and her high school friend Raffy and college great friend Ana, one of her matrons of honor.

No wonder, asking Carmie what would be the highlight of her wedding, she says all of it was memorable.

Congratulations and best wishes to both of you, Philip and Carmie!
