Cesafi teams join Cordova tourney

THE Don Bosco Technological Center Greywolves will face last season’s runner-up University of Cebu Baby Webmasters in the 1st Mayor Teche Sitoy-Cho Basketball Tournament Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) high school division pre-season tournament at the Cordova Sports Complex.

Aside from the Greywolves and the Baby Webmasters, the other teams in the month-long competition are defending champion Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles, the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers, University of San Carlos Baby Warriors and University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Baby Panthers

Each team will have a partner barangay that will become its supporter. SHS-AdC will partner with Catarman, UV with Day-as, USC with Alegria, USPF with Poblacion, DBTC with Bang Bang and UC with Gabi.

The six teams are divided into two brackets with each team in one bracket playing the others teams in another bracket in the elimination round. The top two teams will then play a knockout crossover semifinal.

USC, UC and SHS-AdC are in Bracket A, while DBTC, UV and USPF are in Bracket B.

The tournament will follow the rules and regulations of Cesafi and all infractions and sanctions will carry over to the regular season.
