Various ops yield shabu, guns, drug suspects

POLICE arrested seven persons, including a 38-year-old woman, and hauled more than P100,000 worth of illegal drugs in Bogo City and in the towns of Asturias, Consolacion and San Francisco last Tuesday.

In Barangay Sonog, San Francisco, Camotes Island, suspected drug pusher Rolly Otida Montalban, 28, and his alleged cohort Neseto Rucaberte Rosal, 57, were arrested in a buy-bust at 3 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were 10 packs of suspected shabu in different sizes, a .45 pistol loaded with two bullets, and .357 revolver loaded with three bullets. The seized shabu has a street value of P156,200.

Insp. Philip John Libres, the town police chief, said Montalban has been listed as the top two drug dealer in San Francisco.

Syringe

At 11:55 p.m., Condrado Ansay Porillo was caught in a checkpoint in Nangka, Consolacion for allegedly carrying a .38 revolver loaded with four bullets and a disposable syringe believed to contain Nubain.

Three hours earlier, a team arrested Lucita Jamby Trazo Perales, 38, for allegedly selling shabu in a buy-bust in Sitio Buangan, Poblacion, Asturias. Seven sachets of shabu worth P2,028 were confiscated from her possession.

In the same municipality, at 3:15 p.m., Venerando Arisgar Ople, 41, was collared in a buy-bust. Seven packs of shabu worth P2,704 were seized from him.

In Bogo City, police arrested Oliver Verallo Escolar, 35, and Efric Bedrijo Alburo, 38, in Barangays Sto. Niño and Cayang. A total of eight packs of shabu and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found in their possession.

In Mandaue City, two of the most wanted persons of Police Station 5 were arrested in separate operations in Purok Tambis, Barangay Umapad last Tuesday.

Wanted

Junie Peter Duyag, 34, police station’s second most wanted person, was arrested past 2 p.m. during a buy-bust.

A decoy bought a sachet of suspected shabu from Duyag that led to his arrest.

PO3 Joel Osabel confiscated another three sachets of suspected shabu and the P200 marked money from the suspect.

Before Duyag’s arrest, the police station’s third most wanted person Garry Macawala, 35, was caught past 8 a.m., after an informant called the police that he was seen carrying an 11-inch kitchen knife.

Police recovered the kitchen knife from Macawala, a tricycle driver. A sachet of shabu and tinfoil was also allegedly found in his possession.

Both arrested suspects refused to comment on the allegation.

In Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City, police arrested four men for a drug-related offense last Monday. Drug suspects Fidel Apa, 52; Jomar Buytrago, 28; Ervin Legaspi, 34; and Arcenio Ondot Tabanlangit, 61, were arrested in a buy-bust.

All suspects denied the allegation.
