Sungduan: K to 12

WITH the implementation of K to twelve in the country comes an opportunity to study in Australia, which seems to have opened its doors for students who would like to pursue their junior and senior secondary education.

In fact, some schools from the land down under are starting to tie up with local consultancy firms like in Baguio for possible partnership to obtain successful approach and cost efficiencies in enrolling international students.

YRC Worldlink Consulting Solutions proprietor Audrey Sungduan said that students under 18 years old who intend to study in Australia may require a guardian. The Student Guardian Visa holder will be allowed to live there for the same length of time as the student and even bring with them their dependent children.

The main purpose of this visa is mainly for the care and support of the student and for possible volunteer work without remuneration.

But one very important requirement for this program is for applicants to present an IELTS general training test result or take a course in General English to improve their writing, listening, and speaking skills. “They must have IELTS with at least 4.5 band score,” she said.

Accredited by some schools in Australia YRC which is situated at Gamboa Building Session Road, has been continually building relationships with educational institutions by assisting students to apply for a letter of acceptance and certificate of enrollment and assist clients in applying for student permit in Australian Embassy.

In Australia, secondary schools are known as High Schools and are divided into junior and senior schools. K-12 is occasionally called as P-12 in the said country.

To study abroad is a great chance to broaden one’s horizon and experience new learning from a different level and another environment with different culture. But this intent requires sufficient funding and resources.
