'Game of Thrones'

IF YOU are a fan of the medieval fantasy epic that is Game of Thrones (GOT), chances are, you have already associated the First Family's "chilling photo" with the best-selling series of George RR Martin.

Right after Robinson Niñal, a close-in photographer during the Inaugural ceremony, uploaded the photo of President Rodrigo Duterte alongside Sara, Paolo, Sebastian (Baste), and Veronica (Kitty) while walking with faces looking like they were heading for a battle, netizens from all over the social networking site Facebook compared them to the GOT characters.

JC Dela Peña Libao was first to comment saying, "This picture is very powerful. There is a different aura that I feel just by looking at this picture of the first family. Kudos to the Photographer!"

A photo edited by GemarOuttaright had Baste as the equally charming Jon Snow, Kitty as the young and fierce Arya Stark, Rody as, of course, Ned Stark, Sara as the mother of dragons, Daenyres Targaryen, and Paolo as Stark's eldest, Robb.

Definitely, they are the real world's House Stark. And if the House of Stark is to "Winter is Here", House Duterte is to "Change is Here".

Even during the campaign period, Rodrigo Duterte was already seen as Ned Stark by the netizens simply because in the fictional series, Ned also did not want to become Hand of the King but everyone persuaded him because they said no one else could take the responsibility besides him.

Romel Tabang could not hold his suggestion as he commented on the photo uploaded by Rappler, "Ang emblem nila is an iron fist at red background na nagsi-symbolize ng blood. Astig dba?"

Atong Yap, also made his own analysis and shared it on the thread. He said, "Sara of Duterte Clan, Mayor of Davao City, Queen of the Damned, Finder of Investors, Destroyer of Corrupt LGU corrupt, Puncher of Sheriff.

Rodrigo of Duterte Clan, the President of the Philippines, Punisher of the Corrupt and Drug Lords, Peacemaker of Warlords."

Marie Florence Agudera also said, "I can feel a strong aura emanating from this family."

While Lonjos Odaroma took everything real by saying, "This is the family, sent by God to help our country from the bondage of dirty politics. We now have the freedom, Thank you Lord for all the answers of our prayer."

Social media has indeed become the game-changer of the recent elections. The people (netizens) were given equal rights to air their opinions and be heard by a significant amount of audience (with a chance to trend).
