CANDABA-Despite his no-show during the mass oath taking of local officials organized by the provincial government on June 30 at the LausGroup Event Centre, Mayor Danilo "Boy" Baylon of this town vowed to support Governor Lilia Pineda and her programs for the poor.
Baylon had his oath taking in front of his family and other local officials at the Trade Center of this municipality on June 30.
Baylon explained that he opted to be sworn in in front of some 2,000 Candabeños and some village officials whom he will be serving in the next three years.
But the newly-installed mayor asserted that his non-appearance does not imply opposition to the provincial head and her administration. He instead lauded the lady governor on her development projects, programs for indigent Kapampangans and her value for different ethnic groups.
However, Baylon said that his support is conditional to the national and provincial government's good programs alone and insisted he will to be a steward of good governance and public service.
The law of God must always overpower anything on earth, especially political interests," he noted.
