New PRO-COR chief assumes post

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Police Chief Superintendent Elmo Francisco Oco Sarona assumed his post as the Police Regional Office–Cordillera acting regional director on Monday during a simple rights.

Chief Superintendent Robert Quenery led the assumption of command as Sarona expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome given to him by the Team PRO-COR.

In his message, Sarona reiterated three important virtues such as discipline, deep sense of commitment and teamwork, which are indispensable factors to ensure the attainment and success in achieving the organization's goal.

“Neither I nor you can do this mandate alone, but if we will work together and work as a team, there is nothing impossible for us to accomplish. Let us manifest Discipline, have a deep sense of Commitment and work as a solid Team in this PRO," Sarona said.

During the turnover ceremony, 10 police officers were awarded for their commitment and devotion to duty in fighting Illegal drugs and anti-criminality campaign in the region.

Awardees of Medalya ng Papuri were Superintendent Joseph Bayongasan, Chief Inspector Radino Belly, Senior Inspector Ham Banag, Senior Inspector Benson Macli-ing, Senior Inspection James Acod, SPO4 Benedect Calado, SPO3 Jones Takayen, PO3 Agodian Laoana, PO2 Narvy Acosta, and PO1 Soriano Pablo.
