THE Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City has partnered with the TAS Tradesoft Corp. in utilizing a software application for human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/Aids) data management.

TAS Tradesoft, which is into developing applications in the field of finance and medical, among others, is the first Bacolod-based software developer accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza).

Its chief operations officer John Dave Dueñas, who led the launching of the HIV/Aids Core Team (Hact) Bacolod Application at the Reodica Hall of CLMMRH on July 19, said that currently, there is a big gap on the availability of data between inception of infection to the mortality of the patients.

Dueñas said the focus on developing the application is to facilitate greater knowledge management to improve the efficiency of case management and monitoring of the HIV/Aids patients from the inception of the infection toward full care administration.

Hact Bacolod Application is also geared towards collecting data to be used for research and analysis, patient care and prioritization of healthcare provider resources, he said.

“Through this app, we want to help and assist the medical industry by reducing medical errors, serving as arena of information sharing within the practice and security mechanism, and ensuring safety of patients,” Dueñas added.

CLMMRH is the pilot medical institution in the country to use the application for HIV/Aids functionalities, which mainly targets big data analytics and has modules, including for enrollment of the patient.

Dr. Julius Drilon, medical center chief of CLMMRH, said the application will really help the hospital operations by having better figures, data, and information needed in setting up programs for patients.

“We will continue to partner with different institutions in order to improve our systems which will also result to more efficient services,” Drilon added.

During the launching, CLMMRH and TAS Tradesoft signed a memorandum of agreement for the partnership.
