‘Majority of Negros Occidental Capitol JOs rehired’

MOST of the 213 job order (JO) employees in the Provincial Government-run hospitals in Negros Occidental were rehired.

Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado Jr. said on Wednesday the JOs will continue to work until December 31 this year.

“Majority of them were rehired, as recommended by the chiefs of hospitals. There were only one or two who didn’t have the recommendation,” Salado said.

The salaries of the JOs from January to June were delayed.

Salado said the payrolls had already been processed and released.

The Capitol had been evaluating the performances of the JOs under the 11 Capitol-run hospitals.

Of the 213 hospital workers, 60 are working at Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.

Cadiz District Hospital in Cadiz City has 28 JO workers; Calatrava Municipal Hospital in Calatrava, 10; Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial Hospital in La Carlota City, 12; Dr. Vicente Gustilo District Hospital in Escalante City, 21; Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital in Hinobaan, 3; Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital in Himamaylan City, 16; Ignacio L. Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela, 31; Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City, 20; Valladolid District Hospital in Valladolid, 8; and Merceditas Montilla District Hospital in Sipalay City, 4.

Based on the Capitol salary rates, JOs or utility workers are receiving P328 per day while those in clerical and professional technical services get P388 and P447 per day, respectively. (MPE)
