Duterte: Global warming is Philippines' priority

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte said Monday that global warming remains the country's top priority.

"Global warming shall be our top priority, but upon a fair and equitable equation. It must not stymie our industrialization," Duterte said in his first State of the Nation Address (Sona) delivered at the House of Representatives.

"We also endeavor to develop corporate and partnership with nations sharing common interest and concerns with Philippines. Maintain and sustain bilateral and multilateral consultations and dialogues."

He added that the government will deepen security dialogues with all the nations to build greater understanding and cooperation. (Sunnex)
