Ceres FC to test run new system in UFL 2nd round

WITH the recent signing of veteran Serbian-born Spanish coach Risto Vidakovic and Fil-German international keeper Roland Müller, defending champion Ceres-La Salle FC is expected to test run its new plays on August 3.

It will be the day the second round of the United Football League kicks off in Manila.

Club administrator Nicolas Golez said that Vidakovic has his full 100- percent support.

“The addition of Coach Risto (Vidakovic) in the team will change how Ceres FC performs. Although everything remains to be seen I am confident that the club will continue to compete at the highest level under him,” Golez added.

Vidakovic, who will begin directing plays for the Bacolod side at the start of the next round, is also expected to lead Ceres FC in the semi-finals of RHB Singapore Cup.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old, 5’11 Müller will be a great addition to Ceres trio of talented goalkeepers led by Eduard Sacapaño and Michael Casas.

Ceres FC is currently at second spot of the UFL table after drawing league’s top team Global FC, 3-all at the end of first round.
