A 51-YEAR-OLD former drug surrenderee was gunned down by two unidentified gunmen while playing majong on Tuesday in Sitio Suba, Barangay Poblacion, Liloan, Cebu.
The victim was identified as Eddie Pangatungan, alias Edie Waray, a resident of Purok Talon, Barangay Calero, Liloan, Cebu.
Initial investigation revealed that Pangatungan was playing majong with his friends when one of two unidentified men, whose faces were covered, disembarked from the motorcycle and shot the victim several times.
The gunmen fled from the scene.
Some residents said that Pangatungan earlier surrendered to police and admitted that he was selling methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu" and this could possibly be the motive behind the killing. (Quincy Jones A. Adriano, USJR intern/Sunnex)
