"Comelec has approved the budget for printing of 85 Million ballots at a cost of P297 million," Guanzon announced on her Twitter account.
Meanwhile, Comelec Chairman Juan Andres Bautista reiterated that if Congress is contemplating on postponing the October polls, lawmakers should pass the corresponding law before August 22, ahead of their scheduled ballot printing.
“If there is a law postponing the elections, then we will, of course, follow. But it should be passed by August 22 as that is our projected start for the printing of the ballots,” the poll body chief said. (FP/Sunnex)
