A MURDER suspect was shot dead after he resisted arrest on Wednesday in Barangay Carmen, Toledo City, Cebu.
The suspect was identified as Jovanne Ignacio Miñosa, alias Bani.
A team of police, led by Senior Police Officer 4 Aurelio Luzano, and members of Special Weapons and Tactics Team were serving the warrant of arrest to the suspect when Miñosa pulled out a firearm and fired at the policemen, prompting the cops to fire back.
Miñosa was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Recovered from his possession were one 357 Smith and Wesson revolver with three live ammunition and one fired empty shell. (Quincy Jones Adriano, USJR intern/Sunnex)
