Naga police dangle P200T for arrest of 2 drug suspects

POLICE in the City of Naga, Cebu are offering cash to anyone who can provide information on the location of the city’s top two drug personalities.

Supt. John Lopez Clark, City of Naga Police chief, told reporters that they are offering P200,000 for anyone who can lead authorities to Joel Gentica and Joseph Tuskig, identified as two of the most notorious drug personalities in the city.

Clark said the arrest of the two may help cleanse the city of the illegal drug trade.

Clark told reporters that a concerned citizen provided them with the cash reward.

He said Gentica is first and Tuskig is second in the city’s anti-drug watchlist.

Both men have standing warrants against them.

Clark said that Gentica, who is reportedly living in Barangay Inoburan, allegedly has connections with PO3 Maria Genevieve Agcol, one of his personnel who was arrested by operatives of the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) 7 last week.

Agcol’s husband, PO2 Dave Agcol, was killed after he tried to fight policemen who tried to arrest him last week.

The couple reportedly had connections with Gentica, Clark claimed.

He is also trying to determine if he has subordinates who have connections with Tuskig.

In a separate interview, City of Naga Mayor Kristine Vanessa Chiong urged Clark to continue their fight against illegal drugs even though there had been reports that some policemen assigned in the city are involved in criminal activities.

On the cash reward, Chiong said she plans to seek funds for the P50,000 cash incentive for civilians who will report about drug pushers in the city.

“As long as dili masikop ning mga big-time drug pushers dinhi sa atong siyudad, dili gyod malinawon ang Naga (Naga will never have peace unless the city’s pushers are arrested),” she said.
