THE University of Cebu Webmasters escapes from a neck to neck ball game against the University of Southern Philippines Foundation Panthers in the Cesafi season 16, on Tuesday, August 9, at the New Cebu Coliseum.
Gileant Delator led the Webmasters with 19 points, followed by Tagudin with 17, Dacalos with 16, and Jabello with 14 to give their team a 1-1 record after losing to the Jaguars in their last outing. Final score is 103-92.
The Webmasters and Panthers battle through a tight game, but in the last two minutes John Calvin Jabello exploded with two consecutive clutch three pointers giving the Webmasters a six point lead.
It was followed by multiple defensive stops by the Webmasters led by Gileant Delator and Justine Dacalos converting steals to easy baskets, finishing the game with four of their players in double figures pushing their team on a double-digit win.
The Panthers were led by Kino Bajamunde with 17, followed by Quiachon with 16, and Lyndon with 15 points, tried to keep up with the Webmasters but fell short to the latter's fanatic defense.
