Evasco leads ‘Kilusang Pagbabago’ launch

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte’s Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. will lead the launching of Kilusang Pagbabago and the oath-taking of its members at UNO-Recoletos Auditorium at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 13.

Kilusang Pagbabago is a grassroots-based movement envisioned to be the vanguard of the Duterte administration in ensuring that the delivery of government programs trickles down to the benefit of the masses.

It is also the partner of the Duterte administration in pursuing its developmental focus, namely the war against drugs and criminality, the battle against any form of corruption in government, poverty alleviation, pursuit of the peace process, and shift to a federal form of government.

Negros Island Region-Team Duterte headed by lawyer Archie Baribar has been organizing Duterte supporters and conducting orientations on Kilusang Pagbabago in all Bacolod City barangays, and in all towns and cities in the province.

Expected to attend today’s launching with Negros leaders of Team Duterte are key leaders of Team Duterte from all over the Visayas. Delegates from Bohol already arrived Thursday while delegates from Cebu, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Biliran, Guimaras and Panay will arrive today.

Several assistant secretaries, undersecretaries, and commissioners of different government agencies have also been invited.

Evasco, a former rebel-priest, was the campaign manager and later chief of staff of then Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. He was also the mayor of Maribojoc, Bohol.

In the first executive order Duterte issued as president, he placed 12 agencies under Evasco’s office.(TDE)
