THE Department of Tourism (DOT) has reaffirmed Marco Polo Davao (MPD) as the leading five-star rated hotel in Mindanao.
The premier hotel was awarded late July by the tourism department with a five-star plaque at the DOT head office in Makati.

Polo Davao as their home. We are truly blessed to be 'The Heart of Davao',” Halifax Davao Hotel, Inc. (HDHI) president Francis Ledesma said in a statement Tuesday.
The prestigious award was handed over to Ledesma by DOT Undersecretary Bong Bengzon and Head of Standards Monitoring and Enforcement Division Joey Tolentino.
The assessment, according to DOT, was based on the service, hospitality, efficiency, and food provided by the pilot hotels and resorts aide from focusing on the quality of facilities.
MPD general manager Dottie Würgler-Cronin, director of sales & marketing Pearl Peralta-Maclang, and sales executive Janina Almonte also witnessed the simple yet meaningful ceremony.

The hotel has a total of 245 well-appointed rooms and suites. It has (6) six dining outlets, which are Café Marco, Lotus Court, Polo Bistro, Eagles Bar, The Lobby Lounge and the exclusive
Continental Club Lounge.
MPD, for the past 17 years has continued to serve its Asian hospitality and Western Comforts.
Last year, MPD has bested 13 other properties in the growing Marco Polo Hotels chain, as they were awarded with a 2015 Hotel of the Year, Bold Leadership Award by the group. (ASP)
