Llanes: The 50 days of the Duterte administration

AS HE promised in his oath of office being the 16th Chief Executive of the country, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte have shown his conviction politics of resolving the major problems besetting the country.

His 91 percent net positive rating is proof the people supports his move to for the country to feel real change.

Although the past administrations have shown us the report of the Chief Executive on his accomplishment to be reported in his first 100 days, President Duterte is on the path of sharing his accomplishment in his first 50 days in office.

To date, President Duterte have positively shocked the Filipinos who are witness to a lot of accomplishment from the Duterte’s administration.

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar names the top 3 accomplishments of the Duterte administration in 50 days.

The communication Czar noted some 600,000 drug users and pushers presenting themselves voluntarily to the Philippine National Police in less than a month.

The signing of the Executive Order on the Freedom of Information which have been pending in court for almost 30 years is seen to be a move to strengthen transparency to all government officials.

The worldwide 911 hotline for emergencies was launched in the Philippines thanks to President Duterte who saw the need and importance of executing this emergency hotline.

President Duterte have also shown his concern for the OFW's in Saudi Arabia after sending a team with 500 million pesos to help them.

And in his first 50 days, let us keep in mind his rhetorical expression, “My oath of office, when I said ‘So help me God,’ I have a sole duty to let you know kung ano ang nangyayari sa ating bayan. So these are the things I have to do because I’m the President”.

And change have come.
