6 men arrested in drug busts

THE war against illegal drugs continues as six persons were arrested in just nine hours from Sunday morning until Monday dawn.

Caught in different police operations, these alleged drug users and pushers were all caught in the act of possessing illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

William Tabucal, 46, spent his Sunday night inside the cell of Police Station 6 after the police conducted a buy-bust operation around 7 a.m. in Sitio Lawas, Barangay Pasil.

Confiscated from Tabucal were one small piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic containing suspected shabu and P500.

One hour earlier, the operatives from the Cebu Intelligence Branch conducted an intensified patrol operation and were able to arrest two suspects in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Calamba.

Arnel Tarroza, 38, and Jeffrey Cardiente, 26, were caught bringing with them one small heat-sealed pack of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects were brought to the Cebu City Police Office lock-up cell and will face criminal charges for violating Section 11 and 12, Article 2 of R.A 9165 or possession of dangerous drugs.

In M. Lazarte Sr. St. Barangay Pari-an, Mark “Hapon” Lolor, 25, was arrested after police found one small heat-sealed of suspected shabu around 3 a.m. at last Monday.

One hour later, in Barangay Basak, San Nicolas, police arrested two suspects in separate operations.

Zandra Chu, 31, on Bontores St., Barangay Basak, San Nicholas, was arrested after police found two small heat-sealed plastic packs of suspected shabu.

Jenifer Gaceta, 37, was arrested in Sitio Bamboo Grove, Barangay Basak, San Nicolas after police found drug paraphernalia in her possession.
